Impressed with the season, but obviously not with this round

Great season by the Blazers. 54 wins and a 1st round victory over Houston were great achievements. But my god this series against the Spurs was a disaster! I have never seen such shoddy defense and so many bad turnovers by a supposedly quality team. The Spurs are not that good in my opinion. In fact, I think they will lose in the WCF's. I am definitely not sold on Stotts as I think we have the talent to compete with San Antonio. I don't mind losing, but to get embarrassed is inexcusable.

I think Miami will three-peat as much as that fucking disgusts me. Because I don't think SA has what it takes. I agree, I feel we shit the bed.

You have to have depth to have any kind of chance to get deep into the post season and that was an area where the Blazers were sorely lacking. Look at any of the remaining teams left and you see a bench that consistently contributes throughout the year and the playoffs (well except Indiana and they are going to get destroyed by Miami).

This series completely exposed our bench. The Spurs were just so much better when their second unit came in. It was a total shock, and I think their ability to rest their starters really wore our guys out. I was disappointed in the adjustments made, and I think our guys could have shown a little more fire, but the season was a success either way.

You flippin' turncoat. We clothe, bathe and shelter you for damn near a decade and this is how you repay us? We finally get to meet each other in the playoffs, the Spurs even give you a game before taking all your cookies and this is the treatment we get!

    For Shame, Schlong. FOR SHAME!

Yes, Spurs are that much better than us. No, that's not a bad thing. Yes, we're young. No, this doesn't mean we're not going to get better. Yes, we need a bench.

Why because you can't troll the Spur's board now?

I am very happy we faced the Spurs. It is a damn good measuring stick on how much more work we need to become the next contenders. We have a great starting 5, but we need a much better bench. Obviously our defense must improve as well.

    Positions I think we need:

CENTER: A defensive center (Like Dalembert) that can play the pick and roll (Like anyone on the Spurs) or a decent center that can hit the outside shot (Like Hawse, Frye or Gasol)
PG: a vet PG that can take care of the ball, defend well and has playoff experience (Mario Chamers would be perfect)
SF: A slashing SF that can defend well (Ronny Brewer, Luol Deng, Lance Stevenson, AK-47)... I wouldn't mind bringing Dante back either... I really loved his game.
