A lot of you have been saying we needed to play the bench more this year. 6 games separated us from missing the playoffs completely. Stotts did what he had to do to win games

Results would have been the same. We did not make it to WCF, or beyond.

Playoffs 1st, or 2nd round, big deal. If we don't get a better bench we wont progress.

His job is to win games.

Does anyone really think he'd have a job next year had we not made the playoffs?

Probably not, but I don't care. The coach needs to develop the bench talent, while winning games. That's what Pop does. His bench is magnificent. I mean look what he did with Mills for christ sake.

We had absolutely no bench production in the playoffs, because they just weren't ready to play these types of games, or any game for that matter.

MM, please stop and focus on the basketball discussion. Leave your personal shit out of here.

Pop does that now. He has a tad bit more lead than Stotts does, wouldn't you say?

I feel that we could have done better. I think Stotts could have done better to get his bench ready to play. And honestly with how we were last season in terms of record, I don't think he would have been fired this year if he didn't make the playoffs specially if he found any gold in Will, or CJ.

Ok, I didn't take it that way , my bad.

And that is the difference. Pop can play with bench rotations and rest starters because the average talent level he has to work with is much higher. Hopefully through some trades and player development we can give Stotts the same luxury.

But, when we had Patty Mills everyone was saying he was garbage.... and now he is Pop's number 2 PG. So........ I still think it comes to coaching your players.

Which is why we won't get rid of Will Barton this summer. Some players you have to give time. Others are trade fodder. Mills is much better than he was when we had him. It's not just the coaching, but development time too.

I understand. I am just saying that we as an org. are terrible at developing our bench players. Stotts is no exception to that rule so far. He's stuffed guys on the bench just like McMillan did...... Even if we do lose some games, we HAVE to get those guys some playing time or we just repeat what we did in the Spurs series.

Who's to say? Homer posted the same thing I did. I guess a fair question is why is mine perceived mocking and not his?

Now mine certainly was and his most likely is a joke, but it's all perception

But I was just joking with him
