My all time 2 favorite teams are the Yankees & the Giants. I would have loved to see both of them have good seasons but at least one of them is. I don't think ANYONE expected the Giants to have the best record in the NL & the 2nd best record in all of baseball at this point. But I'm loving it. And to think that they're doing it dispite the early bad play of Sandoval & Pence. The Yankees just need to get healthy. Plain & simple. Because right now I think the first team in that division that can run off a 6-7 game winning streak is going to run away with the division. I know we're only a 1/4 of the way through the season but I'm hoping the Yankees can be that team that runs off 6-7 in a row & that the Giants can continue there good play.
Well lately they seem to be winning world series every other year, 2010, 2012 & who knows? maybe 2014
The spirit of the "OTHER" M and M boys, is alive and well in San Fran. Seems no one in the NL west wants to contend beyond .500 ball. To often the norm out here in the West.... I'm curious what the Rockies are going to do, in months to come. The Bums, can't get beyond an error prone defense, as they continue to leave RISP. The Bums all need to be tested for new prescription glasses, with dark tint, so the glare of Tinsel Town quits distracting these over paid, arrogant asses, less The Skipper, (the only thing the Bums got going in their favor).
The Giants have pitching and defense, when they added some pop it makes them just flat out dangerous. I also think Bruce Bochy is slicker than snot on a brass door knob when it comes to making moves. But as we've all come to learn in todays game first place only counts when your lead is excessive to the amount of games left. If the Rockies are holding by all star break they and the Dodgers will compete but I'd still give SF the nod for the Division.
and it doesn't look like any Team is going to close the gap, against those mighty Giants. With that kind of lead, and the rest of the Divison asleep at the wheel, the Giants could be 20 games up by the All Star break. could be.....time will tell. One of the Giants highlights this year, to me, was Madison Bumgarner's Grand Slam, helping himself with his arm, and bat too...! Imagine if Lincecum could return to the form he had in previous years, Cain too is not quit his normal self YET....If so, The race would be all but over.
In his last start he was the Lincecum of old & pitched a gem. They also have a full season of Pagan, Belt before he broke his thump was tied for the NL in HRs, They got Morse from I believe the Nationals who's added power & Hudson is pitching like he's 25 again. But its early so I just hope it continues.
Good, I hadn't heard the news of Tim's last outing. I did listen to a few innings of Hudson's last start against the Bums. The Radio Anchor's were saying, "Tim looked good, strong, and like Tim of old", that was deep into the 6th at least. Cain is just coming around too, isn't he? Posey, I know is proving why well, He's Buster Posey...!
Impressive, wow, definitely Tim of old, good deal. Tim was to good a Pitcher to be counted out, and down. I'm glad to hear he's back to form. Hope he stays healthy, and successful.
eegads....I'll see a speech therapist tomorrow. Hope they don't lock me up for good. Maybe I should take my old modem with me. Dang thing locks up, redials up its connection, and may, may not post my reply, sometimes times 3. Sss ssoooo sorr sorrr-ey...hicccup...!
