Haven't seen him or the other top prospects play almost at all but I got a feeling from articles, scouting reports and Zagger's post that Marcus Smart is the smartest, safest pick right now. Seems to already make a steady impact but also has room to grow.
This prospect was my favorite prospect last year before he pulled out of the draft and now it's looking like he's not only going to stay in the draft but will likely come over right away. He's beasting this year and put on some bulk: A matchup nightmare with his court vision and ever improving jumper. At 6'10" 230 lbs., he's not so undersized at the four-spot anymore. If there's a way to trade into the top-10..... His stock is on the rise. Kristaps Porzingis was a projected top-10 pick in 2015 and has declared this year. Interesting prospect -- he has a nice inside/out game at 7'1".
K.J. McDaniels. I think he is going to be a Gerald Wallace type player. I would love a young "Crash" on the Blazer's bench.
Listening to various draft coverage podcasts I heard a comp that really makes him an intriguing prospect: "His feel for the game and intangibles that he brings is comparable to Marc Gasol."
Saric is awesome. I wonder what it would take to get a pick around where he's projected to go (#10 range)? Would McCollum, Leonard and Crabbe be enough? I'd give up all three for Saric.
