Absolutely terrible plot, awful acting/script, but worth the price of admission just due to how they pulled off the scale of the monster fights. Also, I would highly recommend this in 3d as it definitely was well implemented.
THERE WILL BE MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW THE UPCOMING PARAGRAPH I saw it in IMAX 3D on Thursday night and in the end, I was disappointed. It's not boring and it's way better than the Matthews Broderick one but overall, it didn't make much of an impression. One thing that made it weird is.... BIG SPOILERS BELOW... . . . . . . . . . .SPOLIERS SPOLIERS BELOW . A main SPOILERS chaSPOILERSracter SPOILERS diSPOILERSes halfway through the movie and the son character isn't interesting enough to take control of the rest of the movie. Also, I thought we were going somewhere with the Asian kid and then he randomly fSPOILERSinds his parSPOILERSents and he's gone SPOILERS SPOLIERS SPOILERS ABOVE SPOILERS ABOVE . . . .. . .SPOILERS ABOVE
I agree completely with you guys, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit. This version of Godzilla could have been a classic if it had all come together, but I'm definitely satisfied.
