Let's say the Cavs call tomorrow and offer the #1 pick for Aldridge.

What would you want in the trade?

Would you do the trade at all? What would be the big picture if you made the trade?

This is a chance for those who would make the trade to explain what they would do and why they would do it.

Thompson, waiters and Varejao. I would have a serious talk with Allen and Aldridge before deciding but you can't just flat out say yes or no.

If someone asks you if you're a god, you say yes.

it just doesnt make sense. if there was anthony davis then yes but we have small forward and C that are 25. then you would have whole at PF

    My opinion is this:

I can honestly go either way. I'm totally fine with keeping LA, signing some vets this summer, and making another run next season.

My concern is that LA is going to get fucking paid next summer and despite what some people say, I don't think he's worth that much money. If he was 26 or 27, I would be totally fine with it, but he'll be turning 30. He will keep declining, even if it's a minimal decline, but it's going to happen.

So if the idea is to trade him, I'm fine with dealing him to Cleveland for cap space THIS SUMMER. I looked at the free agent list for next summer and there isn't much there. If we could clear his 14 million off the cap going into this free agent class, we could actually make a pretty nice contract offer to someone like Greg Monroe.

    Dame
    Wiggins
    Batum
    Monroe
    Rolo

Maybe that team takes a slight step back from this past season, but going forward that team is ridiculously young and talented. But like I said, I'm totally fine with keeping LA because I think we're a bench away from contending next season. We could use our MLE and our BAE to sign a few pieces and keep going.

Let me put it to you this way, you take Wiggins and you have Nic playing the point forward. Dame/Nic/Wiggins can play together. I'm sure of it. Then you take the cap space you free up from trading LA and go after Monroe who Detroit already said they're not going to re-sign.

    Ok, here goes.

Cleveland is way under the cap, so they could easily make an uneven trade

    #1, Thompson, Soup Juggler.

I would then trade Batum to Sacramento for #8

#8, Thompson and Soup Juggler to Orlando for #4

    Draft Wiggins #1, Parker #4

    Sign Hayward

    Sign Bosh

    Sign McBob

    Let Mo walk

    So we end up with

    Lillard / McCollum
    Wiggins / Barton / Crabbe
    Hayward / Parker / Wright
    Bosh / Robinson / Claver
    Lopez / McBob / Freland / Leonar_

    Fairly realistic I think

    Bash away

It depends, is the next great NBA center in this draft? If yes then you have to go for it. Centers equal championships!

Jabari Parker is considered by some analysts the best prospect in this draft and he plays PF. :devilwink:

I don't see Bosh leaving Miami. I'm sure they'll probably max him out again, so there's really no way we could ever offer him enough money. Even if LeBron left, I think Miami would max him out.

assuming with whatever space we would get from unloading LA and Batum's large contracts.

I ask for Thompson, Jack and #1. Draft Wiggins as our SG awesome in the ball defender. Let Thompson and Robinson battle it out for starting 4.

There are reports that Cleveland is favoring Embiid. God that organization is hilarious. They're going to take Embiid, he's going to bust, and then they will have effectively gotten jack squat from two straight #1's.
