Love is 4 years younger than LA making a big contract for him less risky.

I fully agree that this team would have likely struggled without LA or vice versa without Lillard. My point is going forward Lillard is more important to the Blazers long term success than Aldridge is. Love could have just as easily dominated Jones in game one and two furthermore his three point range makes him an even tougher guard for Howard and Asik. Replacing Love with LA and adding the additional depth that comes along with Parker, Wiggins or Embiid would have made us even more difficult to contend with.

Love will never score 89 points in two consecutive playoff games (home or away)

Pay LA 25 million a season and pray his contract does not become an albatross. Houston series LA is worth that money arguably becoming the leagues best PF, Spurs series not even close.

Those are bold words, considering Love has yet to play on a winning team, let alone a playoff team.

You won't pay a proven playoff performer a max contract, but you'll give one to Kevin Love simply because he's younger.

We eeked by Houston thanks in large part to a blown call and a miracle three and all the sudden LA is a proven playoff performer. Last I checked he is 11 and 18 in the playoffs. That is not exactly proven.

Keep an eye out for Aldridge market. Bts, his reps remain interested in moving him to a bigger market. Still has Chicago atop his list

Yeah, and Love has yet to play in a playoff game. What's your point? You aren't even a Blazer fan, anyhow, and you've admitted as much, so why are you using "we?" You were nowhere to be found on this board while the Blazers were still alive in the playoffs.

He's yet to score a point in a playoff game after 6 seasons in the NBA. Give that man a max contract!

Yep, he won't, because that would require that he actually make the playoffs.

So, in Aldridge's worst playoff game, he scored 8 more post season points than Kevin Love has in his entire career.

Love isn't a winner. He isn't a number 1 option. He can't create his own offense. He doesn't command double teams. No way in fuck does he dominate that Houston series the way Aldridge did. Not even close. Love is a stat padding stretch 4 who would have been a MUCH easier cover for Terrence Jones than Aldridge was. Aldridge killed Jones because of his length. Love doesn't have that advantage, and it's not even close.

how can anyone logically compare Aldridge to Love anymore?

Did people forget that when the Blazers needed to slow down Howard, Aldridge was on him?
When Rolo was in foul trouble Aldridge was on him?
Howard is going to get his because he's a muscular giant and gifted athletically.. But Aldridge held his own against Howard defensively...
The Aldridge lit Howard/Asik up offensively. Jones was a horrible mismatch. the inexperience cost him.
Aldridge is a better defender on the block than people give him credit for. Also Aldridge rebounded like a monster against Houston...

Love could never guard Howard one on one because he is limited athletically and he's way too short.
Jones could guard Love because they're the same height, and Jones is far more athletic... by FAR.

    Stop the insanity.

If the blown call is Howard was supposed to go to the line in Game 1... Then, to take your words, Howard isn't exactly proven at the line. So it's not a given he would have sunk both to take a 1 point lead... That wasn't the end all be all, but it gave Houston a reason to bitch... you know, to overlook everything else that made them lose the game... not "two free throws" that were never guaranteed to go in. It isn't Steve Nash at the line.

We would also have had 5s to get a shot off and we had a timeout to advance the ball.

That feels made up but if its his reps and not him then of course they are going to try and get him to a market that would make him more appealing for adorsements.

I posted earlier that Twitter account has 20 Tweets in 2014. For some here, I guess that's a legitimate source.
