I've been reading a couple habs forums, and boy do these guys ride Prices ding dong. Statements such as if Price was on Chicago they would have lost maybe 2 games in the playoffs and if Crawford was on Montreal they wouldn't have made the playoffs.... Or that if Price had played game 2 they definitely would have won. Another good one was a thread asking for people to rate there top goalies and some of the Habs fans had Price at 2 most of the time if not 1.
Wait, there are fans out there that over rate their own team's players.....nooooooo Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
Price is what he is. A very good goalie no doubt. I personally think the top level is Quick, Rask, Hank in any order. Then next comes Price and I still think Rinne is right there also when healthy, so Price is very good, and is a top 5 goalie, which I don't think can be argued. After those 5 it becomes more dicey I think. As for this series, the Habs have scored 3 goals in 2 games. Price let up 4 goals in game 1. Would he have shut us out in game 2? Look, I am not saying we win game 2 for sure if Price plays, game 1 was done whether Price stayed in or not, but I do know they need to score some goals to say wow losing Price flat out cost us the series. Hard to say that when the game you think they maybe could have won with Price they scored ONE goal. If they lose 5-3 tonight, yeah I'll say Price mattered for them tonight. But if they lose 3-1 again, how can I say that.
