If he's healthy and comes back to MVP level this is a moot point. But say he's not healthy. Do the Bulls trade Noah away before the deadline? if so what does it take to prey him away from them? does thibbs get fired?
It depends on a number of things. Mostly who do they add in free agency this summer? If they add above average starting veteran then I say no they don't trade him. If they add more younger players a few years from their prime its a different story. Yes then if Rose has another season ending injury I think they consider trading Noah and rebuilding with the idea of letting Rose walk at the end of his contract. But that's multiple layers of 'if' statements. Thibbs won't ever be fired because the Bulls owners are cheap. They wouldn't pay a coach like him to sit at home and not coach. They may entertain trading him for a draft pick or just so some other team pays his salary.
If Rose is a consistently serious injury after serious injury guy I wouldn't be shocked to see him get amnestied and see Noah traded. Idk about their coach getting fired though.
He can't be amnestied as he signed his extension after the lockout. He'll have two years left after next season so I guess they could hope he medically retires. In the scenario he is seriously hurt again I think they'd rebuild the team with youth and wait for his contract to expire; then make a run at free agents while their youth has gained experience.
