<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Warriors, according to NBA front-office sources, are trying to buy out the contract of center Adonal Foyle, who played just six minutes in Golden State's first six games under Nelson and clearly has no role in Oakland given Nellie's preference for smaller lineups. This is the first of four seasons left on Foyle's, uh, burdensome contract, with the 31-year-old due $37.4 million in that span ... although Foyle's $10.6 million salary in 2009-10 is only partially guaranteed.Personnel chief Chris Mullin has taken more shots for Foyle's original six-year, $51 million deal than any other move he's made -- and justifiably so -- but the Warriors insisted at the time that serious interest from Orlando and Milwaukee drove Foyle's price up.</div> Do it. Now. Biedrins/Murphy/POB/Diogu will replace him without a problem.
Chris Mullin is such a terrible general manager. I remember when Foyle was signed, nobody around the league knew WTF Mullin was doing. It pisses me off just to know Milwaukee was somewhat interested. I think Adonal Foyle is the worst player to every sign a $50 million contract, ever.
FOYLES BLOWS!the guy has been overpaid for a long time and he really hasnt been worth it. he cant score at all and is a waste of millions of dollars. im sure that any center we bring in can do better than him
Wow that would be a hefty buyout, 4 years left on the deal. Too bad the amnesty clause was only for one year.
Foyle is a blob of nothing. He can block shots, but so can Biedrins and O'Bryant. He's not a great rebounder, my 1 and a half year old baby brother has a better post game than he does, and Foyle is overweight. Get him out of there, Biedrins is lightyears ahead of him, and O'Bryant is a solid future center. But wow, 4 years left on the deal. And I agree BCB, easily the worst player ever to sign a $50M deal. That's TERRIBLE.
