Carcillo's suspension is a direct result of the official's complete incompetence last night. How the trailing official misses that hit is nothing short of completely ridiculous. If the proper call is made against Prust then you don't have the fight later one.

Total chain reaction is right but you cannot grab an official. Car bomb got what he deserved for the most part

I bet Prust gets 1 game since he doesnt have an in person hearing.

He never grabbed the official. He didn't want to be manhandled for no reason and I don't blame him. Why is the official grabbing him with two hands up high and pushing him into the boards? He was watching the fight.

Stephane Quintal will chair the hearing with Prust. A guy who is from Montreal and played seven seasons there. Might as well allow Therian to decide the punishment.

Guys, this is a black and white rule. 10 or 20 games. There was no gray area. I just wasn't sure if playoff games were treated differently than regular season games. Guess not.

It's a joke. The Ranger better be on a mission to end this in the next two games. Seeing that clown back at MSG for game six will be quite annoying.

They will be on a mission now. This is just the little extra push they needed. The MSL thing was starting to be in the rear view mirror, and now this comes in for a push.

chuck, great point. We sacrificed stepan's jaw to give us another push. Poor Step. I want someone to break Prust's face next season.

I just don't remember Prust being that kind of guy, but I guess I was wrong. And it still amazes me that these two were friends and teammates and this is what he does. Unreal.

The fact that he was the loudest voice after the Price thing should matter here also. This was what he wanted to do after that all along.

Haven't posted here for a while as it's been nice to actually watch the games at home as opposed to at work on the computer. If you really think that losing the first line center, regardless of how poorly he's performed, is a good thing then please put the pipe down. This officially gets Montreal back into the series now as we have to move up Richards with the first line, with whom he's too slow, and then have whom center the second line? Brassard? Moore? It was a nice run, ended by a cheap shot. I hope Dorsett ends that shithead PK's career with a boarding penalty.

Prust is that kind of guy. You just don't want to notice it when he's playing for your team.

So let me get this straight. You came back to post to pretty much tell everyone the series will be lost now? Give me a break.

Who said it is a good thing 28? Maybe there is a reason you haven't posted in a while.

Of course it is not a good thing, but it is what it is. Should we shut the series down and cry? It happened, Step is done, we need to move on. All we can do.

I'm pissed off but so sick of reading chucks rose glasses view on this. This is a HUGE blow to this team, regardless of how you want to look at it. We lost a first line center, who was starting to play better especially against Montreal. Now due to a cheap shot he's done and Prust gets off easy and chuck thinks this will help the team? How does that help the team? AV isn't Torts and won't retaliate. Shit, he's too scared to truly call out the officials, instead just beating around the bush. Just say that the refs were horrible.
