Red Sox miss Ellsbury. So do the Yankees!

    I miss not missing anyone.....!

Jacoby, IMO, is to good a player to remain in his funk for long. Just my 2 cents. Yet, I do believe Ellsbury will be back with a a vengeance. His work ethic is not questionable like many others. His desire, a driving force, on a team screwed up with Politics of disagreemnts from the front office.

The best thing the Yanks can do right NOW...is (as i said before), sell the Team to an Owner who's primary goal, is to return the Greatest Team in Sports to its former glory.....

I truly do believe the Bobbsy Twins, are the primary force or problem, between a divided club house. A team who feels defeated prior to taking the field. A team who see's no help on the way, to be consistent contenders. Reminiscent of the Yanks prior to Torre's hiring, when turmoil was the order of the day between King George and Showalter. The ramifications, bled down to the Team. A Team not unified but confused over their futures.

Hell, the current-SP staff alone, says as much. No real talent other than Tanaka, maybe Whitely will have a great year. Maybe Phelps can get the bugs out, maybe Nova can become the player he dreamed of. Maybe, maybe......! Unlikely tho', the Yanks have made it clear, they can't obtain a solid SP staff, in the last decade on and off again. While the Bobbsy Twins won't part with the Team they inherited, as their pride is the one looming giant blocking this teams vision, and overall-performance, incosistency and no sign of help from the front office, breeds confusion and discontent, not a fiery will to win, or even desire to play, for ownership who knows as much about MLB, as I know about becoming a Olympiad Sprinter, at my ripe old age.

The problems plaguing our Yanks are far more serious than simply SP's. Player's must feel they have to be a one man wrecking crew, because no help is even on the discussion board(s).

Until I see a SP staff similar with such old types as El Duque, Jimmy Key, David Cone, Clemens, David Wells, , Petitte (in his hey day), Mo', et al. Then my hopes for a solid Yankee 1st place Pennant winning club, are dashed. As well as a solid defense, and a serious hitting dominate roster of hitters. All 4 or 5 tools need ordered, as they are obviously missing from the tool box.

At this point, the Yanks need a solid re-build and restructuring, without the likes of handing Gardner 15 million, or hiring a 38 year old CF'er whose best days are behind him.

Time for Gerardi to put the Boys and Cashman in their places, and take the reigns, despite their protests-"they doth protest to much".....

As far as Joe, his Mantra needs to be: "If you and your boss always agree, then one of you is not necessary"....

My apologies for ranting on my broken soap box....(back to my Fan Cave)....

I only wish the best for our Team. I'd love noting more (as I know all you do to), to see another decade long streak of sheer dominance coming out of the Bronx)....

    that being said, "GO YANKEES"....

...Ells will come around, McCann too. Now, if Roberts will finally be the player I know he can be and if Soriano will stop swinging at every f'ing pitch thrown to him, the offense will start carrying its weight.

Pretty soon people will start getting desperate and say they miss ARod, not the asshole person, the bat in the lineup.

Jeter doesn't get a pass either. He's only hitting 237 against righties.

Soriano has always been a guy like Vlad in that they swing at everything and amazingly have had some great success doing so.

The reality is that he's at the end of the line. He knew what he was doing calling this his last season.

I have to be surprised, this line up should bop, 1/4 of the way through the season and they're still in a funk.

The difference is though that Vlad was one of the best bad ball hitters I've ever seen while Soriano is just screwing himself into the ground while making very little contact.
