Not sure why it was a joke. He did what he did. Even AV said that. Now you can say never should have happened because Prust should have been given 5 for his hit on Stepan, but that is what it is. Carcillo did what he did.
you have to be responsible for your own actions no matter who did what before hand. it is just an excuse to say well they didn't call a penalty on Prust so I touched an official. poor judgement on carcillo's case
Agree Al. Who cares anyway. Carcillo is what he is. The WAY bigger issue is Stepan, and what his loss means to us in this series, and in the potential SCF. Shame.
Carcillo has played well as a depth player. The 4th line was good with him. This breaks up the feng shui the lines had going. Dreger says he can appeal suspension. Doesn't matter but if Step and Brass are out, we are weak down the middle.
I can't see Brassard not playing Sunday. He's not going to appeal the suspension simply because it's a black and white rule.
Brassard is playing, so that is not an issue. And I agree with Mess. It is a black and white rule. Is what it is. Carcillo can play a role when he is under control, issue is he very often is out of control. Losing him for 10 games doesn't phase me much. I would guess Miller in for Stepan. It won't be easy, but we have to make due. We have 9 top 9 forwards as we saw when Kreider was out, so it is tough for us, but is what it is.
That's always been him. He gets a hot head and does stupid things now he has to pay for his actions. Like you said, it doesn't matter what happened, or didn't happen, before.
