Regardless of what he's hitting at the time, Jeter will be the leading vote getter in the A.L. for this years ASG.
Regardless of his numbers, I have a feeling we will see Jeter start the All Star game. If not we know he will have his Cal Ripken moment. I too feel Nostalgic waxing will sway voters, in Jeetz favor, tho' we know he's not the best SS in the AL anymore. However it will be a treat if Tulo is still tearing up the NL by then. Hell at this rate, he could win the game by himself, while playing the entire Infield; all positions at the same time.....LOL.
damn slow ass dial up modem, duplicatiion of thread.....wait for it, wait for it, then I get blown out, not knowing if the thread took, and whaddya know.....!
Its early yet but as of today Jeter is the leading vote getter among short stops leading the White Sox Alexi Ramirez by 130 thousand votes. Over all Jeter is currently the 3rd leading vote getter with 602,525 votes, trailing only Mike Trout & Juan Bautista. FWIW: Jacoby is 3rd among outfielders while Carlos Beltran is 4th.
