I guess that's why they play the games. If the Kings beat the Hawks in 6 even that means they would be 12-5 since the 0-3 start. That is great hockey. On paper the Kings would be the clear fav, especially coming off a good beating of the defending champs. But in hockey anything can happen. So we go out and play our butts off and see how it goes. Maybe Hank gets even more locked in with a chance to face Quick. Winner of that series will be hands down the best goalie in the NHL IMO.
Yeah lets not jinx things. New York vs LA should've been the final two years ago and we saw how that NJ disaster went .
Here is my take on that. Yes we need to win the 4th game still of course, but up 3-1 at this point, playing well, we have had the lead almost the whole series, their best player is out. Add it all up and if we lose now it is on us and we choked it away. So yeah we need to not act as if it is over and we cannot lose, but quite frankly if we do lose now I wouldn't be that upset because we wouldn't deserve to be there anyway if we blow a 3-1 lead to the Canadiens. BUT I do not expect that to happen. I think we can win tonight, and worst case will win game 6 if needed. And BTW...Therrien and some of their players said they need to get a lead and play with it. Score first. To me if we can score first and put them behind again we may start to see them packing it in. I am also sure we will start to see Subban get off his game. Guy is playing close to 30 mpg (played 33 in game 4). Playing 1/2 the game is a lot. Quite frankly he is playing too much IMO. So he could be getting close to fading if we can get a lead.
