Saw the quick pitch video this am, crowd really gave it to Valverde. Collins stated that if one wants evaluation one needs to look in the mirror. Ah well New York National.

I've actually begun feeling bad for Met fans at this point. Just moronically run organization.

Wilpon is another one that needs to sell the team.

In listening to the Met fans calling into WFAN they don't what this team is doing either. Just for the visual go to a site in which you an display the Met's roster. What is Collins supposed to do with that offensively? Especially when David Wright isn't going to put up top slugger type numbers.

A week or so back I started a thread about over rated players & David Wright was one of them. Last year they moved the fences in so they really need to stop blaming the stadium for lack of power. You just have to many guys on the team that only have warning track power. And you're right, this can't be on Collins. after all, you can't stir butter with a tooth pick.

...yup, firing the hitting coach will solve all of the Mets' offensive problems...and cutting Valverde, who the Mets picked up for 1 Mil after he had already proven last year that he sucked, will also help put the Mets over the top.

Firing the hitting coach because you have very good players hitting in the 220s or 230s is one thing but how the hell do you fire a coach who has players that are only capable of being mediocre to begin with? And Ron you're right about Valverde, he never should have been there to begin with. That's on the GM. As is the 195 hitting SS, the 220 hitting LFer & the 196 hitting catcher. They did absolutely nothing during the off season to try & improve there roster.

I'll tell you, being a Met fan REALLY has to suck.

It's one of those hey look fans we're doing something kind of moves. The intelligence of the Met fan has been insulted so many times by that Madoff loving family they should stage a revolt.

Wright is in a funk I don't think a land mover can dig him out of this year...!

The article mentioned booing Granderson, how it takes its toll to be booed, when fans don't know of Grandy's feelings, and how hard he plays. So says the article.

Jeezus, do these prima donna's not get it, when a baseball player makes millions of dollars to entertain, then fall short of all expectations, even remote ones, they are going to get booed. What is booing a lackadaisical player having a bad year, now a crime, or shall MLB make it a new rule, no booing. Boo f'king hoo....!!!

These prima donna's want the best of both worlds; fail to perform on a semi-or full-consistent basis; then be applauded for their lack of consistent performance....? Well excuse me....Mr. David Wright and the Mets brass. I'll not applaud another Met, until this team is dissolved. God Forbid one should be kicked out of the park for booing. Hell I guess getting ticket refunds after a game is out of the question. Frauds the lot of them....

If I made millions or even 500 grand, playing the sport I loved the best, I wouldn't give a rats ass if I were booed, screamed at, called names, just don't shoot....!

    When can you start...?

Amen, that is the perfect approach and attitude. Any clauses Ron? Heck, I'd gladly throw in a bag of Cheetohs for every HR you hit..., if I were the GM...!
