Nor can Wes or most other SG's.

As for a defensive liability....... he is no worse than MO and Mo played minutes in crunch time with Lillard. I wanted the Blazers to draft CJ, but it was always as a SG off the bench. Not a PG and not a starting SG. But he can still get 25 minutes a night. Small ball is in style for a lot of teams. Stotts will have plenty of opportunity to play him without getting abused on D.

Fair enough. I'm only viewing Mo through the lens of his one year in portland. I'm viewing CJ at least partially through the lens of my rose (actually Scarlett) colored glasses and what CJ may become in the future. I concede the fact base for my optimism is severely incomplete. ;)

The problem with this is that Mo played PG when Lillard was off of the court. So who plays PG in the 10 mpg that Lillard isn't on the court?

Nothing wrong with optimism! I'm optimistic about this team as constructed, with a few changes to the bench. I'm not sure giving CJ Mo's minutes improves the bench at that position.

Yes. I am pretty sure they all do.

Seriously though I would be ok with Livingston. Until they can find one in the draft. But I am not their scout. Find one that can play with Damian or CJ.

Livingston has serious a injury history and can't play defense. He was benched for Alan Anderson in the playoffs versus Toronto. For a year or two, sure, but I think someone is going to bite and offer him a larger contract than the Blazers can, and should, offer.

He averaged 24 minutes a game against Toronto and 32 minutes a game against Miami in the playoffs. I just want 15 minutes a game for the Blazers.

True he not a defensive stopper, but against taller-slower SG guards, that apparently CJ is too short to cover, he would fit in just fine. It is the smaller/quicker PGs that he, and everyone else, has trouble staying in front of that he would have problems with. I am trying to be realistic and pick a guy that we can actually get. So that player is going to have flaws. But again we are only talking 15-17 minutes a game.

He is just one name. I am fine with someone better. But that's the type of player i want....a taller PG that can play with Damian and CJ for 15-17 minutes a game.
