I assume he means LaMarcus Aldridge. This is the same guy who talks about Portland fans overvaluing their players. Now LMA is a "slightly better" Channing Frye. HAHAHA!!

If that's what he meant, everything he says needs to be taken with a grain of salt for all of eternity.

That sounds like a player who should be the #1 overall pick.

Others see him as a young SG who is trying to be a PG, and will take years at the NBA level to learn to play PG.

Why do you think I jump on the guy's posts? He's been posting mostly garbage since he arrived here.

Makes sense. How odd is it that both Soup Juggler and now MCW are both rumored to be on the block.

    Stay away from certain schools
You'll thank me for the advice
Really look at the success of players from certain schools
Ask yourselves if you'd want any of them
Can any break the mold before Boeheim retires?
Ultimately you will see I am right
So like Bobby Knight so eloquently put it, If rape is inevitable, just lay there and accept it
    Enough of this post

There is nothing wrong with MCW though lol he seems like a good guy and put up 17/6/6 with 2 steals his rookie year. The only reason he would get traded is because Exum is only going to be 19 by the start of the season and MCW is going to be 23.

No, I'm showing you that one guy is an all-star who averages 23 and 11 and the other is a journeyman who doesn't do much of anything. Sometimes, it's just that simple.

I regret even being baited into this discussion.

You must have missed the devil-wink smiley. My post was intended to highlight the intentional stat cherry-picking necessary to come to that sort of conclusion.

I don't think anyone (except Cmeese) actually thinks that LA is no more than a "slightly better Channing Frye". Some assertions are so ridiculous as to be unworthy of direct response.

Lol. Sorry. I thought I was in bizzaro land where more than one human actually harbors that belief.

Give Frye 22 shots a game and 36 minutes and I bet you he puts up 20 points 8 rebounds. During much of the regular season LA was an inefficient volume shooter, he is a decent defender, his passing has improved and with Lopez boxing out everyone in sight LA turned into a decent rebounder.

The balanced player we saw against Houston in the playoffs was a different player than regular season LA, he was not the passive jump shooter who coasted to good scoring numbers by hoisting up 22 shots a night mostly from 18-22 feet. He still had a mid range game but he also punished people on the block and fought hard for rebounds rather than collecting a few extra ones a night because his center is a team player. Houston series LA was as close to he has come to being a complete player.

That LA is nothing like Channing Frye but that player is not the same as regular season LA.

If LA was traded to the Cavs I highly doubt that they would get anything more than a jump shot happy passive Lamarshmellow content to let his contract expire and become a FA? At that rate the Cavs would be better off giving Channing Frye 22 shots a night and keeping Thompson, Waiters and the #1 pick.

LA probably attempted more shots in the paint during the Houston series than he did in any month during the regular season. While coasting might be too harsh he certainly was a lot more passive than physical during the regular season especially compared to the Houston series.
