If he is back, I think that might be a huge mistake by MTL. He has not played in a while and Tokarski played well. That could be good news.
I heard it on XM. They said he is on the ice at MSG taking shots and usually when goalie has such pregame skate it means he is playing. This is according to dude who covers MTL team. I don't know his name.
I think Therrien was trying to throw everyone off by saying he was out for the series just so he could bring him back later like some Willis Reed savior.
i saw an article saying he was practicing before Gm 5, so not surprised if he's playing tonight. That said, he could be rusty so that's good for us.
As soon as I heard Therrien say he absolutely was out for the series, I absolutely knew he'd be back. Really expect it until game 7 though.
They said he was just taking shots and doing VERY light work pre game 5. I actually read a quote that said he was doing light work that would indicate he still has a while to go before he can play a real game. If you are basing this off of him getting some practice in this AM, I would not equate that to him playing tonight. BUT if he does play, not sure that is bad for us. He would have to be a little rusty IMO.
This is from pre-game 5: Tom Gulitti tweets “Price did slow-paced, deliberate lateral movement drills and faced some soft shots. Not looking at all like someone close to playing.”
LeBrun's report today said he joined his teammates near the end of practice, then took some shots. Doesn't sound like tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a game 7. I don't expect that to be a possibility after tonight.
