I think Billups makes the HOF.

I don't know what you do man, but that list is pretty fucking depressing. It doesn't give us much of a chance to win a championship.

Balance and amazing defense Portland barely plays any defense. It will take a lot more than what we did this season to reach the NBA finals let alone win it all.

I just think this is Neil's team. These are his guys. He's had two years to move two guys that he called 'pillars' at is initial press conference and he hasn't did it. I think he believes he can win with them and the core is set. Any improvement that happens on the team will take place on the bench and to get the current guys better at what they do or have to do to win. The chemistry is there. The climate is there for this team and organization.

They had their moments in the Houston series. But it's a team that either A.) ran out of gas in the SA series. Balance and depth would correct this or B.) Were fullfilled enough in their first round series victory over the Rockets, that they had nothing else to prove for the year.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say A.

I think you hope your "team" is better than the individuals of your opponent. We're not going to have LeBron. But we would have a huge advantage at pg yay will only get bigger. And a small advantage at pf. You try to win matchups that can win you the game/series. And continue to look to improve through trades, etc.
And again, there's timing and luck. Cleveland got LeBron, but has no title. Orlando had shaq and Dwight and have no title. We drafted the best big man prospect in a decade...

I still see a problem of causality in this line of argument. If LA wins a ring, he's way more likely to make the HOF. Same with Damian. You gotta keep the pieces around them as good as you can and hope for the best.

If only the Blazers had their amnesty option still available to get rid of this Power Forward the Blazers have. God I wish he was off the team. Cut him Neil get it done.

Unsure why you're quoting me to make that comment? I'm saying the Blazers with Aldridge have a better pf than the heat with bosh. WTF are you talking about?

You're acting all offended like he insulted LA considering LA to have an advantage over Bosh is pretty far from an insult.

??? I'm saying Aldridge has a small advantage over bosh. It's not a giant advantage like Lillard had over Chalmers. I'm sorry. What do you want me to say? I think Aldridge is better. I don't think there's like a three tier difference though.

And the reality is if Chris was on any other roster other than that one. The perception of LA having a 'small' advantage may not be there.

I'm not sure he does have an advantage. He really didn't in Dec when Bosh went off for 31 with a game winning 3. A situation in which he had to step up.

Right. It's difficult to just say Oh here are their averages, a is better than b when one is forced to play 3rd fiddle, but whatever. I think Aldridge is better. But it's not a wide gap

I give LA the slight edge just like you do to his perimeter game.

Bosh is a better shooter than LA though

You think Aldridge is that much better than Bosh?

I assume you are referring to stats. The purer shooter IMO is LA.

Bosh has more range and shoots at a much higher percentage than LA.

    3 pt range Bosh 31% LA 21%
    16ft to 3 line Bosh 46% LA 42%
    10-16 ft Bosh 41% LA 41%
    3-10 ft Bosh 42% LA 44%
    0-3 Bosh 65% LA 69%

By those career numbers it would suggest Bosh is more pure shooter and LA is better around the basket.
