And the Blazers aren't able to work a trade for, say, LeBron James and the number one pick in this year's draft, and if Olshey intends to stick with 5 starters from last year's team, then what would you want to be his moves to bolster the bench?
Agreed, plus having the combined P-Town love from Channing and Robin would make the Moda Center positively glow.
I think the team needs to think more physical and defensive than this. Because that is what they need.
I know it. I just think the move makes them softer rather than tougher. Not sure that is direction to take.

So that takes away from the 1977 title how? You said Portland doesn't win titles. There's a banner in the Rose Garden that suggests otherwise. Why does this have to be a race thing? It's a simple fact. Winning a title has happened in Portland. That is all I'm talking about. Nothing more, nothing less.
Yes it has happened but not in the modern NBA. Portland may again win a title but it won't be next year.
So that means those Boston Celtics teams from the mid 70's... the New York Knicks, GSW, etc... those just don't count because it's not the modern NBA? So, when THIS "modern" NBA becomes old hat and a new "Modern" NBA comes in, will this not count? Since there seems to be a "time table" for Modern. Modern is always going to change, so winning a title won't matter 40 years from now, so who cares? That's what I got out of that. And for the record, no one on this earth (Even mags and KS) are saying we are going to win next year. But there's a lot of years, so...
