well, had they not traded Drexler in 95, obviously Portland was on its way to winning the title.

And had they not traded Rasheed, three peat is Portlands!

As for Thompson and Kersey...shit, the Blazers have traded away what...18 guaranteed NBA titles?

Patty Mills, didn't we just waive him? He might win 5 titles in a row now. AND, you have to do some digging but the Drexler trade got Cleveland Lebron James. That doesn't seem bad but Lebron was going to sign with Portland until we waived Ha Seung Jin.

    That photo is so painful.

Can you imagine Hakeem or Duncan or Shaq going through what Oden has gone through? Because it could just as easily have been any of them being the guy with bum knees. It could have been any of them holding a trophy he completely doesn't deserve, but might have in another reality. Fate dealt Oden a shitty hand. And us too.

That photo of him awkwardly holding it just kills me inside. It's not funny. Just depressing as fuck.

You mean the guy with bum knees who put on weight because he was boozing it up and eating fast food while "rehabbing?" That guy?

Dame has been better than Porter since his first summer league.

I wonder how bad his knees are. When I was his age I played basketball every night and could barely drive my 4speed cutlass home because my knee hurt so bad. I know Roy just couldn't move, saw him lose a loose ball to Kidd once and knew he was done.

If Oden never had the surgeries and didn't lift weights when he wasn't partying, how good could he still be?

Let's not also forget that his knee-cap basically exploded, he also had a broken bone in his foot, and his broke his wrist in college. It wasn't only the ligaments/cartilage in his knees that were defective. His entire body should be donated to science to see if there is some genetic deficiency in his bones.

I think Oden probably really is in his 60's and made a deal with the devil to be a tall badass NBA center, and then either didn't live up to his end of the bargain or didn't read the fine print.

Well, the obvious ones are Sheed and Drexler both of whom won the title in the season we traded them. Kersey and Steve Smith won titles with the Spurs. Either Patty or Oden will win a title this year so that is 5 off the top of my head.
