Good job letting him walk Cash. This team has no need for a 30 homer guy.

...yeah, I remember you clamoring for for them to sign him before the season began.

He can actually play first. It would've made sense. This is why I always say he's not a real GM only a money spender.

...yeah, like I said, I vividly recall you insisting they sign him before the season began.

At this point, I think the Yanx would be better off with a simple Accountant than our GM....! (someone change Brian's name to "Blank Check Man"....!

The Yankees NEVER addressed signing a back up 1st baseman which I found surprising but I'm not sure Reynolds would have been much help at this point. Although a solid back up defensively he's the 2nd coming of Dave Kingman offensively. He's more of a miss then a hit as he once again lingers around the mendoza line & continues to strike out at a 200+ rate.

...Reynolds is another version of Granderson and he's led the league in strikeouts 4 times...and his career 162 game average is 210 strike outs per year.

He's still a better option than Kelly Johnson and the guy was already here. Plus, Johnson is an abortion at first base. Reynolds is feast or famine but a solid power guy in the lineup or on the bench is something this team can use.

...no, he was not "here"...his contract was up. If he had taken the Yanx offer he'd be playing right now and they never would have signed Johnson. If you want to play the blame game, blame Johnson for signing with Milwaukee.

...and like I pointed out, the second guessing 6 months after the fact is amusing.

You're lost on this one. How am I second guessing when you yourself admit you remember me calling for the Yankees to resign him months ago. Not to mention the contract he was offered was a minor league one that came after the Yankees had already signed Johnson. He went with the Brewers deal because he felt it gave him a better chance to play which obviously is the case.

...I'm the one who's "lost" on this one?...my comment about you "calling for the Yanx to sign him" was complete and utter SARCASM...so you really thought I was serious?...lmao, but yeah, I'm the one who's lost.

...are you actually claiming you made that statement about signing Reynolds instead of Johnson months ago?...if so, I'd love to see it ...I'll wait.

...the contract the Yanx offered does not change the fact that had he accepted it, they never would have signed Johnson and Reynolds would be playing for the Yanx and you wouldn't be crying about it AFTER THE FACT !

Johnson was signed by the Yankees before the offer was made to Reynolds. And yes I did say that Reynolds should be resigned on this board. If you want to call me a liar that's your problem.

...wrong again, Reynolds' offer was made in November...Johnson in December. (but yeah, I'm the one who's lost)

    ...when did I call you a liar?...I didn't.

...now, where's your post being pissed off when they signed Johnson instead?

EDIT: N/M...I found it...you complained about it yesterday, typically after a bad loss. ("after the fact")

LOL why would I need a post like that? I already proved I wanted Reynolds back.

...I'll go with "Credibilty for a $1000, Alex". Did you complain about the Johnson deal or not?

...now tell me again about when the contracts were signed.

Quite honestly I don't remember if I had a reaction or not to Kelly Johnson. I most likely didn't. As for the contracts Johnson was signed by the Yankees in December. Reynolds signed his deal with the Brewers in January.
