The only way they trade Hilbert is if they think he has major flaws. Why do we want a 15 million center that has flaws unless we can get him for young players? How do you know that TRob won't end up being better than Wes, Batum, and Rolo. Same with CJ. Indiana did just fine when we sent them McRoberts as a throw in.

They have a starting SG, SF and center that are all better than Wes Batum and Rolo IMO. Why would including those guys be a "smarter" trade? TRob will not get the minutes here behind LMA, but just because you think he is shitty, doesn't mean he is. I think he will end being a pretty good player. Same with CJ.

Hibbert's contract and questionable production lower's his trade value significantly. Other teams may show interest and offer more, but Rolo and a young gun with potential is reasonable if they are looking to get rid him.

Whoever gets Hibbert may end up getting him for just 1 yr (he can opt out). Unless you are a big market team who feels confident you can resign him, it's a big risk (Blazers included)

Hibbert had 0 point 0 rebound games. There is no good excuse for that. I don't want a guy that fragile on our team. I'll take Lopez over Hibbert every day of the week. We dodged a bullet by not getting Hibbert. Also, even at his clearmindedness, he's a terrible rebounder for a guy who is 7 foot 2.

Lopez will still improve. He had a huge rise in rebounding this last season. He is still an up and comer, Nate.

I can't speak for him, but i think we should aim higher than Mills and Diaw.

Even though he's not officially Coach, Larry Bird is an elite coach, better than Stotts.

If Bird failed with Hibbert, then Stotts would, even more.

What makes you think Bird is doing any coaching at all?

What out there is better? It's a bench, not an all-nba team.

Realistic gets that would be a better fit than a tiny gunner that is a system player

    Livingston
    Nate Robinson
    Vasquez
    Heinrich
    Bayless
    Collison
    Isaiah Thomas

Realistic gets that would be better than an undersized PF that is also a system player

    McBob
    Ed Davis
    Jordan Hill

However, we don't need a PF, as our best bench player is a PF as well as Freeland being able to play there

I'd quit following the team if they did that. Horrible idea.

Hibbert had four zero point playoff games. Sure he's worth taking a flyer on at a discount, but sending out multiple starters isn't a discount.

Wrong. Teams like the Blazers have 150% salary flexibility so Dorrell Wright, Freeland, and a couple bench players can match the needed salary.

If Roy Hibbert is not the actual problem and his play was due to another problem in the locker room. He ain't going anywhere. They will fix the problem and try again next year with him.

But I think if the idea is to move him, Indy is still going to want a lot for this guy. Why? Because like you said, he is a DPOY kind of guy and they know this. You're not going to get him for a package of scrubs.

Rolo and Wes will probably be needed. Unless they are in frantic mode and they think they have a real problem, then Rolo alone might suffice.
