    Heard that Doc has a death in family so Kenny will be doing game 1 on NBC.

    Kenny is a solid announcer. It runs in the family. Really does a great job.

    I like them all except doc who hardly disguises rooting against the rangers. Other team scores he goes ballistic. Rangers scores he politely calls the goal and then clams up while he's probably cracking his head against the announcers booth walls. Hope he takes a long break.

    I could live without Pierre's rundown of every players midget/bantam teams. Actually I think Emrick overdoes Ranger goals to overcompensate.

    Doc is very annoying. You know who else is annoying which nobody here will like is Joe Micheletti. After every goal he tells you what you just saw. I know blasphemy ripping our own announcer but so be it. There are some horrible announcers in hockey though. The Pitt announcers are HORRIFIC. San Jose has bad ones too.

    Agree dis not a big mic fan either. Never understood the switch with him and howie rose who I much preferred as a ranger announcer

    JD and Michaletti are very similar but obviously people are partial to him for sentimental reasons. I don't have any issues with Joe though.
