Being called a chickenhawk is a direct personal insult. Please point out where I made a direct personal attack.

Yes it is. That's why I asked both of you to please stop.

And thank you for removing your personal insult directed at him.

Thank you for not removing his personal insult directed at me. I'd like it to stand, just as all of the other personal insults directed at me in the last week by other posters such as cmeese47.

I think I already removed most of his insults earlier today.

Poppycock. jlprk met up with me to attend a Blazers game and beers afterwards at Produce Row a few years ago.

Maybe if you asked him nicely. :dunno:

Why? It doesn't bother me. If it did, I'd be PMing you.

jlprk's smearing of those who died looking for Bergdahl is falling apart. Good thing his hero President Chickenhawk ran off to Poland today. Get out of town while this country sees what a bonehead he is.

Attack on Bergdahl's former position two days after he deserted. Coincidence?

I wonder if President Chickenhawk will stand next to Bergdahl's parents while their son is being executed for treason? Meanwhile, 5 senior Taliban leaders are yukking it up in Qatar.

I'm sorry, who is "the left who is feting this guy as a hero"?

This is, last time I checked, this is the United States and this man is a United States citizen, entitled to presumption of innocence.
It is highly likely he's being debriefed. There may be good reason to suspect him of misconduct, in which case he should undergo court-martial. A trial is how, last time I checked, the Unites States is supposed to deal with alleged misconduct, whether in civilian or military law. Not leaving a member of the U.S. Armed Forces to rot in Taliban jail forever. Funny how sad the superpatriots are over the release of an American POW.

He was never classified as a POW. Also, it's the military members he served with that are upset about releasing 5 Taliban members for a guy they feel is a deserter.

So, go ahead and call those he served with "superpatriots" in your facetious manner. They are much better people than you or me, and that so many of them are speaking out tells me something is very wrong.

Also, if he isn't being feted as a hero, why were his parents involved in a Rose Garden ceremony?

It sounds like he should stand trial for desertion. Until that point, it is unfortunate that men died looking for him. We can't know why the administration released 5 detainees for him, but it does look bad.

Bergdahl renounced US citizenship in letter to his fellow troops prior to deserting them? If true, he's not even an American, and should be treated as an enemy combatant. I do like how we have to read these things in foreign papers. I may actually watch the nightly news tonight to see if the media lemmings share this information.

Throw his treasonous ass in Gitmo.

He's an American citizen, and is entitled to due process.

I believe that incarceration at Gitmo should be on the table should he be found guilty of desertion, if only so his father has something else to bitch about on twitter...

Because people will say I'm being being fair if I leave some insults and remove others.

No personal insults means no personal insults.
