Matthews with 1 first team vote and 2 second team votes... Batum with 1 first team vote and 1 second team vote. Which means someone other than Wheels/Rice voted for Matthews.
Isn't voting made public this year? We should be able to see who voted for Harden -- this award (more than most) is based a lot on perception, and the general consensus is that Harden sucks a$$. How does he get two votes?
He got a vote for every defensive play he made this year. In all seriousness whoever gave him those votes needs there ballot taking away. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
Who are the trolls that gave Harden a vote? That's just mean spirited. Everyone knows he can't guard a chair.
I'll be interested to see if we change any defensive philosophies. We have some talent on that side of the ball, could get someone ranked higher on these lists next year. I think we are too predictable on defense, we rarely double, we play straight up, we never gamble for steals. It lets opponents relax and get comfortable initiating their offense. We have some good individual defenders but if the other team see's varieties from our defense next year, they won't always just be able to attack us the same way over and over. Also play the starters a few less minutes, with all of that we could have nice improvements.
Come on David Lee got a vote, Harden got two obviously they need to rethink the voting process. Although outside of a few stupid votes they did a pretty good job overall.
He did and that was even worse than giving Batum or Matthews a vote on this list, which is pretty dumb. I am sorry both are decent defenders but neither is remotely close to being one of the 10 best defenders in basketball. Is Matthews a better defender than Iguodala, Paul, Conley, Beverly, Butler, Bradley or Allen nope. Therefore he did not deserve a vote. Is Batum better than George, Lebron, Ibaka, Leonard, Davis or Gibson nope he also did not deserve a vote. The fact that each got a first team vote is homerism at its worst and whoever cast that ballot should be removed from the balloting and publicly humiliated.
