If you are that delicate and easy to provoke, everyone would do it, just to get a reaction out of you... ...oh wait.
I think you got that backwards. It is Aldridge drawing the double teams that generates the open looks for Batum, Matthews, Mo, etc., not the other way around. Teams double LaMarcus and then hope Batum and Matthews are having on off shooting night. The problem is Love is his team's most prolific outside shooter. He attempted a whopping 505 3-pointers. Kevin Martin was second on the team at 297 3FGA. That's the definition of a stretch 4, and a stretch 4 does NOT draw double teams. Nobody is going to double team a slow-footed big man 23-feet from the basket. Love does not have a low post game. His scoring in the paint is almost exclusively off put backs. I will say that Love is a smart player who knows his limits. He doesn't have the length or post moves of Aldridge, so he doesn't even try to post up. He camps out at the 3-point line and looks for someone else to create a scoring opportunity for him. Again, that's why Love would be a good second, or great third option, but will never be the first option on a playoff team. BNM
