I don't understand why they never have a link to team history: players, records, stats, drafts, basically anything Blazers they can archive that we could then look up. I really don't get it.
One of the advantages of this new design is that the site will mold to whatever screen size you are viewing it at.
And one of the disadvantages is that you need to load all those fucking pictures, and you need a good steady internet connection. I'm going to check the mobile site on my phone now.
Yeah, because the old site wasn't already slow as hell to begin with. There's a reason I never go to that site.
Same for me. It was hell to go there. Now I read the whole thread waiting for this new one to come up. Only to see, "This site wants to track your location. OK always? Or just this one time?" I flicked the window OFF. Not interested.
Responsive design means that the one set of pages will adjust to fit the size of your browser or mobile device screen. If they are using media queries properly, they can reduce the number and size of images loaded for small screens. They'll figure it our, I'm sure.
The old site was such crap I can't even bring myself to look at the new one. They should just redirect here instead. barfo
I wasn't too impressed with the old site and I'm not all that impressed with the new one. Not good or bad. It's just kind of there.
The Blazers should hire Denny Crane as their Asst. Communications Director. He understands the internet. He loosens the reigns on people talking. He runs the ship without dominating. Hey Blazer management...Look at this guy's work. Seriously. Talk to him about a position.
Denny wouldn't want to move to Portland and every page would have a hidden Chicago Bulls Easter Egg in it.
You must not have heard of the internet. Nowadays you don't have to physically be where the customers are. You could even run a Portland site from San Diego.
