Is his team 4 games away from a cup? He is two goals away from being up 2 to 0. This board micro manages everything.

For a coach in his FIRST year to get to the cup with a roster that doesnt exactly match his style of coaching hes done a DAMN GOOD JOB!!!! they have played well both games, but have let the game slip away due to sitting back and trying to play trap defense in the 3rd periods which has bit them in the ass TWICE. The coach can only coach, the players need to play smarter and stop with the lackadaisical approach when are winning, soft passes in your their zone are whats killing this team.

The Rangers have played well, just need to stop with the panic moves when in their own zone ... None of that is on the coach. When in doubt, ice the puck

AV has done a great job this year imo also. Would love to hear why he doesn't think anyone besides richards who is absolutely destroying our pp can play the point on the PP and why richards seems to stay on for the whole 2 minutes. Though Nash not scoring his play has picked up and he needs to get more than 13 seconds on the pp for the game. My 2 pet peeves

They still arent on an upper echelon level roster wise so id say he's an A job this year. Just his demeanor alone has made a huge difference in the locker room.

I said this before we beat the Pens, I think we are top 6 or 7 in the NHL worst case. 3 or 4 West teams. The only team I would say hands down in the East is the Bruins. So this roster is solid.

Exchange Richards for a better/younger C and add another big physical dman to complete the top 4, and we are there IMO.

McDonagh will be that offensive dman, and is already starting to show that. Kreider will get better. Stepan will get better. Hags can get better. J. Moore can get better.

So we have some upside as well. Let's not sell this roster short. It is very solid I believe.

Considering he has coached a flawed roster to the cup finals I would say he has done an outstanding job.

Right, im not saying its average or anything but not in the top 3-4 either. I think they need a one and two C but thats up for debate. At least a better 1. Maybe Stepan turns it around next year and looks like a solid 2.
