Turned the game off after that display of ineptitude. Life with the family is more important than watching this pitiful team.....if you can call them that.
How about shuffling the line up a bit. Dfa Johnson and call up someone from AAA. Roberts as we all know is not the answer at second. Also Phelps and Nuno are not the answer as starters on this team. Time to light a fire. I would start by firing Kevin Long.
Injuries have hurt but this roster looks like it was flawed from the start. The only thing keeping this from being a complete disaster is that they have stepped in shit with Solarte. At least for his first 200 ABs.
Vic I agree, there really hasn't been much to cheer for this season but Solarte has been a real nice surprise. I mean can you imagine what the Yankees record would be without both Solarte & Tanaka?
If Nova had not had to have had surgery, and CC had not gotten whatever ailment he possesses, Phelps & Nuno would have not been in the equation. Whitley has been a nice surprise, Kuroda has done better, Tanaka is Tanaka. When the team is hitting one to four runs a night it doesn't help the staff much at all. I can understand a team slumping maybe 5-10 games but not 60+ as this one has. Yes we've seen players go on the DL but the other members must step up.
Agree mess. I can't believe this kid couldn't crack the twins line up for 8 years. Looks like a pretty good player to me.
