I will say though, that despite the complete suckness, a few of the games have been pretty exciting even though the outcome (LOSS, DUH) was already known.

Oden probably won't come out this year, IMO. He will miss about half of his freshman year, plus he also wants to attend college. I don't beleive he's a 1 and done type of guy.

I think Kevin Durrant is going to be a star, Thaddeus Young as well. These are the kids to look for if Oden doesn't come out this year.

Also guys, it's our luck - even if we do finish last in the league (I don't think it will happen), we will slip in the lottery to 3rd or 4th pick (like in 97 when we should have had Duncan).

Hopefully the coaches have some sense and draft some big man. Wouldn't wanna see them pick up more guards.

You guys have played 6 games and your already discussing your lottery status? Come on guys, I expect more out of Celtics fans. Believe it or not, your not bad enough to get Greg Oden (Oden will come out, he talks a good game but there is no way he gives up the money) and you have plenty of wing players so Thad Young and Kevin Durant are out of question. Suck it up, it's early.

durant could play PF, especially on a running team. and I have a feeling that if we were to be getting oden, pierce would be gone anyways.

If I were your GM and Oden was either gone or still at Ohio State I definitely go with Kevin Durant considering he's easily the 2nd best player in the draft class. He's 6'10" and around 215 pounds right now from what I know and he's said he wouldn't mind playing PF in the NBA but he's a natural SF. (Like Josh Smith) You guys are not doing well at all but it's only been 6 games, things can change, if Doc gets fired you still have plenty of time to make a big playoff run.

Think about it though. You actually think that they will fire Doc? Surprising if they do, but the way he is making the team right now just sucks.

I kinda agree with BCB but I understand where you guys are coming from. It's frustrating...Doc has no clue what he's doing though, I know the game vs. Cleveland clearly had nothing to do with Doc but still Doc's in-game coaching and lineups rarely make any sense. I hate to say gut the season and pray for Greg Oden because for one thing you never know what these young guys will turn into. We have evidence with our third center Mr. Michael Olowokandi...draft anaylists were comparing him toWilt Chamberlin when he was coming out of college. And being an avid Red Sox fan as well I gotta say you can never just give up on your team. It's frustrating but c'mon guys, don't just throw the year down the drain.

Doc does deserve some blame for the Cleveland game. Like I said in the game thread:

    - Doc played the starters 10 minutes and some change (straight) in the 3rd quarter. He does that every friggen game, and that's a BIG reason why we slow down and get tired in the 4th.
    - In crunch time, Doc put in a lineup of Scal (center), Pierce (PF), Allen (6'3'' guard on LeBron, who ABUSED him), Delonte, Bassy (who couldn't buy a layup in the second half).
    - We needed defense and rebounding in the 4th, he takes out Perk (double double that night) and Gomes, replaces them with Scal and Tony Allen. He plays Telfair over Rondo when we need key defensive stops.
    - Throughout that entire game, with no Wally Szczerbiak, Doc still only manages to play Gerald Green 12 minutes. This is also after he scores 8 points in his first 7 minutes. Every time someone is hot, Doc "rests" them.
    - Doc should have called a timeout on numerous occassions when Cleveland was cutting back into the lead, and he didn't. This happened last week vs. Utah too, when Utah went on a 15-0 run.

Of course Doc can't be held accountable for Pierce shooting 6-20 or Telfair shooting 6-15 or whatever they shot. But he is accountable for his terrible substitutions, lineups, timing with his subs, inability to call timeout when we needed them badly.

Also, :HAHAHA: who the hell compared Michael Olowokandi to Wilt?!?!

Well, I'll give him the size, and he does have a deadly hookshot. But dominance? :HAHAHA: I wish.

Think about this guys, we have had so many draft busts it's not even funny. Like, in 1998 if you told me that we would eventually end up with Paul Pierce, Michael Olowokandi, and Raef LaFrentz, I would have been estatic! Then, all 3 looked like All-Stars. Raef probably would have been had he not had terrible knees, and if Kandi-Man found his heart before age 30, he would have been a franchise center.
