Re: What's your role? What's your role on your team?my primary purpose is to shoot the ball. I'm the starting forward on my jv team, and not to brag, but I'm the best shooter. I'm also a pretty smart player with the ball. I can pick apart zone defenses, although I find it harder to get open and/or score on a man-to-man defense. I still find shots, I just get alot more open shots against zones. I have two EXCELLENT ballhandlers in the frontcourt that are good passers, so it makes my job alot easier. to make a comparison, I'm the extremely unathletic guy that somehow has success in basketball. on offense and defense, I find ways to cover up my weaknesses and exploit the opponents'. I have long arms so I'm a pretty good shotblocker, and I can find plenty of seams on the perimeter to find open looks. so despite being the slowest and weakest on the court most of the time, I can still hang with the rest of them.
Re: What's your role? point gaurd. Bring up ball and distribute. Control tempo. Feed the ball to team-mates that are running hot. If no-one is look for my own shot and get the team going.-I shoot well, good in the clutch. Can't rebound or post up.So yeah I pass , and lead.
Re: What's your role? I am the scorer. My strongest ability is being able to drive the ball in to the hoop from the three point line and making the layup, or pulling up for the jumper.
Re: What's your role? I'm the great role player who steps up in important situations.I can shoot, pass, rebound, block shots, steal, lead the fast break, and score when needed (which isn't often). We have two great big men, a scoring guard, and a relentless defender/inside pounder. My job is to support them all. In a way, you could say I'm the backbone of the team.I know who needs the ball, when they need it, and where they need it. And if a teamate majes a mistake, I erase it.When my team needs a basket, or needs to change the momentum of the game, that's when I have to step up.I don't mean to brag, but I don't think we'd win much without me. I'm predicting an undefeated season this year.
Re: What's your role? My role changes dramatically..depends on what tournament I play.Since my birthday's on November, the category I fall in varies, it's weird.Last year, on the spring tournament, I was on the 15-17 category(even though I had 14 at the time, I still do) and on the summer tournament I was in the 13-14 category...weird huh?In the spring tournament I was the shooter, always a threat when I was alone in the 3 point line. I barely penetrated, since I was playing against guys 1000 times stronger than me and some of them were 3 years older. In the summer tournament, though, I was the PF/C because I was one of the tallest...I have to completely change my game depending on the tournament...it sucks but I get used it.

Re: What's your role? I am a scorer, I have always been the #1 or #2 option on every team I have played for. I am expected to rebound and block some shots also.
Re: What's your role? To shut down players like Tony and Dogamist. Like ive said before, im not a shooter by no means. I penetrate very well. So I do that also.
Re: What's your role? I'm expected to make plays (passing) and hit jumpers. I love it. I love making plays and creating for others. I used to be a scorer and get about 16-17 ppg, but then I had to develope into a PG because I stopped growing (height) haha. But I am very happy because I would rather score 0 and dish 5 assists than score 10. I am a good shooter, but I can create in other ways. I'm not trying to brag, but I am a good passer. I think I have good court vision, and I know I've said this a bunch of times, but I love making plays.
Re: What's your role? I have always been a point guard, all throughout youth league ball, high school and AAU ball I was always a point guard. I was always the point guard that pushed the ball and tried to play upbeat basketball. I was pretty fast, good at dribbling, really good at penetration and could find the open person if they needed me to. I was not counted on for shooting or rebounding at all. Here in the army we have unit teams and play the other units. This year our coach is my supervisor, and he is talking about me playing the 2 which I'm not wild about. I can't shoot very well at all, and feel much more comfortable being the one to push the ball and get the team set up.
Re: What's your role? Most of my career I was a garbage man/hustle player, but I was one of the better people on the team because we were a small school and only one other person in my grade thought basketball was his main sport. My junior year we had a decent core of senior players and I was just in the game because they needed a fifth guy who knew how to play a role and could rebound and hustle. My senior year my coach made me the offensive player which was weird because it had been someone else for my entire career. I was a 6'1 guy playing center too. I had a decent season averaging about 19 ppg, 13 rbg, and 3 spg. We lost sectional finals both my junior and senior year. Junior year it went into 3 ovetimes.

I got the assist on more than one game winner last year.
Re: What's your role? I am the shooter of the team. I am not the leading scorer. COnsider me like a Kyle Korver kind of type player

Re: What's your role? Im almost everything for my school team. Shooter, distributing, driving, pressure on the ball, I can play every postiton too. I'm the one every depends on both ends
