Doctors? If I'm diagnosed as bi-polar, do I get to own a gun? What about Alzheimer? Autism?

Who measures IQ? Libs like you say such tests are biased for those who live in good school districts, and who speak passable English.

How many doctors? One? Would you accept the opinion of one doctor deciding what you can and can't do according to the Constitution?

How about 3? Who selects the doctors, and do they all get extensive visits with you to diagnose you as autistic or bi-polar?

Interesting. Not sure when this video came out, but his little bit about taking a gun into Home Depot was a little funny, considering what happened in the Las Vegas Walmart. Not saying that a bunch of open carry people would have helped, but it goes to show you that yes you can encounter 'armed resistance' virtually anywhere at anytime due to the ever increasing mental cases w/ weapons (Knives, Guns, etc) that continually multiply in our cities.

I don't mind so much that people open carry, but I think the Assault Rifle is a bit over the top. IMO, I'd rather be prepared than unprepared in the case of an active shooter somewhere. I also know about firearm laws and teach the family about them so these people do not concern (or scare) me. Look on the bright side, at least you can see their rifles outright.

A woman sees a bunch of armed men on a freeway overpass. Being a good citizen, she calls the police. Turns out to be "open carry" assholes. They post her name and address on line. Woman gets death threats.

Sure, real responsible defenders of the constitution.

Funny how these Second Amendment originalists don't seem to know what the Second Amendment says. A well regulated militia being essential to the defense...
The founder distrusted standing army. Their view was that every able bodied adult male (yes, they were chauvinists) would be armed and trained to defend the republic. A well regulated militia means having training, discipline, a command structure. Not a bunch of assholes waving their external penises at fast food restaurants.

Want to hunt? Fine. Most hunters are responsible. Want to target shoot? Groovy. But if I'm in a public place and see an armed assault gang I'm getting the hell out while the getting is good.

    I don't know . . . interesting questions.

I was simply wondering if a there were any restrictions for people with mental illnesses to own guns.

    Anyone know?

I would say that if at any point you have been prescribed certain mood altering, personality altering, depression altering drugs for a certain amount of time, you should not be able to own a firearm until you stop taking those medications and pass certain tests/exams to show you are mentally fit.

This also pertains to people suffering from certain mental ailments that may not be taking medication. But are diagnosed professionally by 'x' amount of doctors; x being the variable that we as a state/nation should come up with.

Now, that doesn't cover people that may have owned one prior to taking the medication, etc, etc. But, it's a start, at least IMO

For the record, that couple shot two cops, then went into the walmart, fired a single shot and shouted "the revoltuion has begun." Then someone carrying a weapon unholstered it, and confronted the man. The woman then shot the guy trying to stop them once in the chest, and he fell to the ground.

Fred Phelps has run numerous times for state office as a Democrat in Kansas, and once for US Senator, and has received as much as 31% of the votes in Democratic primaries.

Okay, and 20 years ago, Bill Clinton signed Defense of Marriage act. Times change, but you raise a good point. At some point, Democrats voted for him. And at some point, Republicans were bipartisan. That doesn't mean I like them now.
