When I saw Whitley pitch against the Mets I had the feeling the Yankees may have "found someone" in their system. The kid seems to improve with each outing thus far topped by last nights game. Not claiming he is the 2d coming of Cy Young but right now behind Tanaka he's a real breath of fresh air. Glad to see him succeed.
It would be fabulous if he can keep up his impressive performance. There's always the idea that teams will eventually get a read on him but sometimes you can get away with that for a year before you have to make adjustments.
