What do you guys think about him? Worth bringing him here or are his best days over with? I personally wouldn't mind him here, but not at a high cost.

I like it! he's a UFA after next season so he wouldn't be too expensive since the Sens rather get something for him than lose him for nothing in free agency.

Dont think we have enough assets to trade for him, that would not leave us at the same level

That's how I feel too 31, but Sens have said they want NHL talent back so who would we give up? That's the key.

We can afford to toss a Fast their way or someone like that. Since it's made public Spezza wants out and his contract expires after next season there is not a ton of leverage on the Sens part. You're not going to be giving up anything of the current roster, or even Miller.

unless he has a NTC and wants only NY...it is going to be hard for the Rangers to acquire Spezza

That would be nice for a year but I think signing Stastny for 3-4 years is the better route, as he's not much less of a player. I'm sure the Sens would want at least a high end prospect or a 1st, neither of which we have available. Other teams could probably put together a better deal, even though he's a UFA nextyr. Plus I'd think Murray would look to trade him west first.

Statsny is the premier free agent available, nobody is getting him for 3 years....

I have always liked Spezza. I would love to get him or Kessler as we will need a C to replace Richards and they are both closer to a #1 then Stepan

Spezza is also a good playoff guy numbers wise

Sens want a ransom and more....the Rangers don't have it to give.
Unless, Sather continues to trade #1 draft picks 2016, 2017, 2018 and on
and their best D man and Nash.

Besides, does he have any interest in the NY Rangers?

Get Kessler. He changed his mind and will come to the rangers now if we can work a trade.
