Re: The NBA's Top Ten Big Men Dwight Howard is also an above average defender. Ben Wallace brings absolutely nothing to the table on offense, so I wouldnt put him in the top 10, and definately not over Howard.

You have to remember that he also gets you around 5 assists per game which is great for a 7 footer. We have already debated over this and I really dont feel like doing it again because we will just be repeating the same stuff.Jermaine is more proven than Bosh is. He has taken his team in to the playoffs and puts up great personal numbers as well. Bosh is not better offensively only by a hair...He's got a money shot, and his post game is much better. He is quicker, more athletic, and able to beat his defenders too.No, I dont see it. Dwight is the better rebounder, defender, and shot blocker, but Bosh is very far ahead on offense imo.Did I ever say that it would be ridiculous to put Jermaine over Chris? No. I said that Bosh is probably better then Jermaine, which is not what you are making it seem like I said at all.

Pau also has a jumpshot, and arguably better post moves. and he has the missing dimension in post players, a passing game.just because bosh is a better scorer doesn't make him a better player than howard. like you said, howard is the better rebounder and defender, two very important aspects in the game. he is more of a presence inside than bosh.
Re: The NBA's Top Ten Big Men Yeah, but through 5 games, it's clear that Bosh will be averaging 10+ rpg. His rebounding has improved alot. Well, Bosh is the better offensive player, rebounder, and Pau is the better passer. Okay, whatever...Idk know about you, but Id rather have a polished offensive player who will give you 24 ppg, than a good defensive player who will get you 17 ppg..And Bosh will be a better rebounder this year.
Re: The NBA's Top Ten Big Men First, Gasol averaged 20ppg last year. And he could have more points but he chooses to get his teammates involved which turns into 5 assist a game. Raptors have played what 5 game at the most? So what, hes not going to get 13 a game his season, I will bet on that. And stop looking at stats so much, Mike James had pretty much the same stats as Mike Bibby, but anybody is smart enough to take Bibby over James. Gasol is the better player as of right now(if he was healthy). Just face it, I dont try to say Gasol is better than KG or Duncan, just face the truth homey. And Gasol is a better offensive player, Bosh has okay lost post moves, as for Gasols low post game is compared to Duncans.

Bosh is more finesse and smoother than Howard, Howard is much more of a beast and plays rough trying to bully people. As far as who the better player is, if they played one on one, there is no doubt in my mind that Bosh would eat Howard for lunch. As far as individual players Bosh is a better player than Howard. As for who is better for your team, it really depends on what your team looks like, and what style of play you are going with. Bosh is a better big man for the fast paced teams that like to get out and run the floor. Howard can run the floor well, but Bosh is better at it. If you need a player to shoulder your scoring load, and put the ball in the basket then Bosh is the player your going to want. If you want to slow the game down a bit, and spot run liket the Magic do then Howard is your man because he is a better rebounder and controls the paint more. Overall if I was starting a team for just this one year, and wanted to form a team around either one, I would pick Bosh because he is a better scorer, he is more diverse offensively and you can run your offense through him better than you can Howard. If I wanted one for the long run, I would take Howard, because he is going to get alot better on offense and his rebounding and defense are already where you need it.Me personally, I would put Bosh ahead of Dwight Howard right now for top big men in the league.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (austingriz76 @ Nov 12 2006, 04:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>First, Gasol averaged 20ppg last year.
