I knew Rick should have expanded the death pool to celebs 80 and older. In all seriousness, fortunately he was able to reunite with his children before signing off.
Like his Top Forty Shows played on Armed Forces Network during my 2nd tour of Germany. Kasems' shows were slicker than snot on a brass door handle and made one feel during his program that they were home in the US.
What kids didn't listen to Casey's Top 40 American Countdown, a classic act....brought us all good times...RIP...!
You're right Ron, that was sad. Its a shame as sick as he was that someone in the family didn't have enough say so to just put all differences aside & give dad some peace in his final year or so. What a waste. And yeah, I loved the top 40 shows. He had a great radio voice.
