Was on media blackout so just got done with both Mexico and Spain games.....HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA Mexico getting screwed and Dutch killing it bring me much joy! (And yes you remembered correctly I'm half Mexican)
I really enjoy watching World Cup, but mostly I just like watching the powerhouse teams. I love Germany, I hate England, and I loath Italy.
i really enjoyed the ivory coast/ japan match last night, it seemed when drogba came in it was just a runaway train. japan looked great in the first half or so, but then it was all elephants
The Switzerland-Ecuador game this morning was really good. That goal in extra time to win... Awesome!
Almost time!!! Not sure how I'm going to get anything done today. Hopefully casual fans have been tuned in so far. Other than the Brazil and Mexico games, the refs have been pretty good and through the first 11 games we've had No draws 3+ goals in every game (counting Gio Dos Santos' 2 wrongly disallowed goals) 5 (I think) come from behind wins Switzerland go from nearly losing (the guy from Ecuador should have shot it on his first touch) to winning in the 93rd minute (which included a yellow card worthy tackle that the Swiss player got immediately up from, continuing his run) Stars scoring (Messi, RVP, Neymar, Benzema) A historic rout of the reigning champ Good and needed first time use of goal line tech News that the US might get the 2022 cup I fucking love the World Cup
1-0 Germany. Gotze fouled in the box after he fought his way through 2 or 3 defenders. Without the foul he would have had a left footed shot from about 8 yards out.
Build up to the penalty was really nice. Best part though was the ref pushing Pepe away when he was complaining.
