That Hank is not an elite goalie, that he cant win in the game, that he cant play in the "house of horrors" in Montreal, that Talbot should ever come in during a post season game with Hank on the roster.

He may not have his name on the cup, yet, but he is one of the best big game goalies in the game.

He played great, no doubt about it. And our defense is small as shit, it is a wonder we didn't get blown out by the Kings when you just look at skill and size. All that stick checking to try and avoid taking hits pretty much cost them the series along with poor performances from their best players. Hank is worth every penny he makes these days. Sather needs to get this team some size and another pure scorer. Its a shame Tortorella's style ruined Gaborik. He would have been huge for us this off season with this style of play in place.

Hank had a run worthy of a cup if the right lineup was on the ice in front of him. He simply gets very little help and has to be perfect. He carried the Rangers on his back and nobody made the load lighter for him. Guys like Nash should be embarrassed.

with that being said.... he can still improve parts of his game... every goalie can... goalies work on things all the time, i can remember hasek struggling for years with things and would work on them. its not over, but as a professional you continue to keep working on things its just what your job is to do.

Hank needs to work on his stick handling and his passing and he can become even more of a force

I actually thought that during the finals hank did well with his stick work.

i cant imagine them making it again and losing. IMO they are just as experienced now than any team that has won a cup. LA got alot of breaks in that series or else i think the Rangers could have won

Watching that gw goal MZ should've stayed wide instead of bunching together, he may have been able to fend Martinez off. Our dmen rarely jump in for quick rebounds like that, sometimes McD does.

100% this. I'm surprised he hasn't shown more improvement in this area over the years considering his supposed commitment to becoming the best.

Compared to his stick handling debacles of the past? Yes, he did okay. Compared to other goalies in the league? He's still well below average.
