Yankees need at least 2/3 for this series so we'll trust Tank to kick it off tonight. Time for Mac and CB to chirp in with the bats, keep Ichiro in the Field.
...looking even further ahead, a very tough and very important stretch before the AS break; 6 vs Balt 6 vs Toronto 3 vs TB 3 vs Boston 4 vs Minny 4 vs Cleveland ...and yes, Ichiro is by far the option over Soriano. And fwiw, Ichy has not homered this year...he's due.
One favorable aspect is that against the Eastern Division Teams 12 of the 15 are in the Stadium. I firmly believe that if the Yankees are to get it on up they need to shoot for 2/3 each series.
Unfortunately Michael being at the stadium means very little this year as they have a losing record at home. (13-16) they're better on the road (22-17). And here's the real kicker, both the Jays & the Orioles have better records on the road then the Yankees have at home. Jays being 21-13 on the road while the Orioles are 19-17 on the road.
...I wasn't just talking about the Yanx...you also mentioned some other teams...but anyway, no one has played fewer home games than the Yanx...they will get better at home. ...I'll be glad to make a wager though...the Yanx won't still be a .564 team on the road at year's end...and they'll be better than .448 at home.
Time to put the Pinstripe locomotive on the roundtable, chug in another direction, and start kicking some a@@.
Yeah those two haven't exactly been on fire either. But with Solarte its just been recently. The others McCann, Soriano/Beltran & Johnson its been pretty much all season.
