Iverson can score and pass, but besides that he's a horrible defender and not a good rebounder at all.Kobe is definitely a heck of an overall talent. He gets my pick for 2nd best SG in history.
Oscar was a point guard...but you could probably consider him in the same conversation just because he was the first "big" guard to come through. Did everything well from scoring to rebounding and whatnot. Basically the prototype for what people expect out of star guards nowadays...
I unfortunatley have to agree with everybody else and say Kobe...Even though he played alongside Shaq, he still won 3 rings and has put up some amazing stats as well. Also, he still has some good years ahead of him. If he gets healthy this year, he will have another great year and will still be in his prime for a couple more seasons. If you say AI is a 2, I think he is kinda close to Kobe. He has been so good for so long that I dont think you can keep him out of the mix. He is having one of the best starts to the year out of anybody in the league and he is 30+ years old (I dont know how old exactley). Even though Kobe is better, if AI can keep this up for a couple more seasons, he is somewhat close IMO.
When you really think about it, your question doesn't make sense:
QUOTE (BALLAHOLLIC? @ Nov 12 2006, 04:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Who is the 2nd greatest SG in NBA history besides Michael Jordan? You can make a case for Bryant, Drexler, ect. Go for it.
Who is number 1 then? Your question is claiming that Michael Jordan is a potential #2, meaning that there's someone else at number 1...? Anyway, I think the second greatest SG all depends on who is number 1 on a person's list. Hypothetically speaking, what if MJ isn't number 1 on my list? What makes you say he is number 1? What if he's number 2 on my list? :shifty2:But to actually answer this question, I believe the 1st best really goes to MJ and 2nd best has to be given to Kobe Bryant. I mean, Clyde Drexler is up there, too, but he was playing during MJ's era, so all his greatness was beneath MJ's. Kobe has no one to really be compared to right now... Just my two cents, I guess.
