1 good year in AAA (after 7 shoddy years), does not make a Major Leaguer. But then who knows the Method Of Billy Beane’s Madness???

Either way, it’s a no risk move for Billy…!

“To put that sum into perspective, it would cost you more to go to McDonald's and order something off the dollar menu (factoring in sales tax) than it's costing the A's to acquire Mills.”

Notice the article (noted in the link below) mentions “Mills has had a good year in AAA Nashville”. (but fails to mention his previous 7 years of crap)....
is this a "We reserve the right to get smart at any time in the Program"?

2014 Nashville AAA numbers: 75 IP with a 1.56 ERA.

Looking at Mills lifetime numbers, Minors, MLB, and Japan BB, perhaps he’s NOT worth the price of a Happy Meal:

8 Seasons; 14 assignments with 11 different Teams, (Minors, MLB, and Japanese Lg).

    Minors:
(total incl. 2014's only decent year)
    - 145 Games - 3.73 ERA

    MLB:

    - 4 years - 15 games - 7.76 ERA

    Japan:
    - 1 Game - 2.2 Innings - 10.76 ERA

Funny thing about that team, personnel arrive as alleged duds and cruds then turn to ball playing studs. I've always liked Beane though, damn good GM!

Excellent Point....I'd venture to say, Beane is the best GM in MLB too.

One can't argue the point - No other GM has done as much/more with less, than Billy Beane...!

I was thinking: (I know, don't hurt myself)-
If The Kids offed Brian Check-Book-Man, and tendered Beane a large contract offer, I got a feeling he'd snub his nose at The Kids....But shit would I love to see Billy Ball played again in the Bronx, with a different Billy this go round..!

Then again, The Kids would have heart attacks, once Billy began his Magic Show...!
