Well, he's not going to put up 18 and 8 rebounds per game this year. He is going to play tough defense against the other teams big guys, and continue to improve offensively, as he gets more and more minutes and learns more. I would say that behind Dwight Howard, and Jameer Nelson, he has more upside and potential than anyone else on the team. That would be good reason for me to pay him a nice sum of money at the end of this year. 5 years, 7.5 million a year would not be a bad number to spend on him in my eyes. If he keeps up playing this whole season like he has been, then I feel he is worth alot of money. He is essentially a second year player, that didn't get to play to many games his rookie year, with how little he got to play and how little he was taught in Detroit.

Darko can hope all he want, and keep living in fantasy land; or he can come back down to earth and realize he's not worth much money..

Yeah this is incredibly out of line. See, once one guy gets a big contract, every young and unproven player thinks they are worth that. This is retarded. So far, what the hell has he done to even guarentee him more than an average salary? I mean $10M a year should be for an All-Star or a superstar IMO. Darko is worth $5M a year IMO, and that's only based on his age/potential. He's done nothing.Let's see if he can win the starting job over Tony Battie before he makes more money than most NBA starters.
