My favorite hot sandwich in Portland is by far at the Eastside Deli on Hawthorne. Their french dip is off the hook!

This new chain sandwich place in town called Jersey Mike's has some damn good sandwiches as well. Stellar tuna fish. I know, I know a tuna sammie is a tuna sammie. No this was an upper echelon tuna sammie.

    Where do you go?

(See BGD this is how you do this shit. Leave your weak stuff at the school yard.)

For chains, I like Capriottis. Its an east coast chain that's out in Vegas, and LA..probably Arizona too. I usually go with a Capastrami or a Slaw-Be-Joe

Also a fan of the Turkey and Roast Beef at TOGOs, ever since High School.

I vaguely recall. I didn't go to them much.

I remember liking Big Town Hero, but before they expanded. I think they had a single shop on Hawthorne around 23rd? I used to go there a bunch.

Have you ever been to "The Big Egg" on Mississippi? Decent breakfast sandwhich but took like 45 fucking minutes to make and there really wasn't a line. Some fucking portland hipster shit.

It was pretty good, just don't have anything planned afterwards like I did, I had to scarf it down pretty quickly (and it was still hot) because of the wait.

dank meat? Is that a typo (dark meat) or is it for real? Sounds unappealing.

I still like to make an infinite variety of turkey sandwiches with my Thanksgiving leftovers.
Making some roast beef sandwiches for Pride picnic - olive bread, roast beef, red pepper relish, pickled onions, grainy mustard.

2oz of meat, some processed cheese, and a 25 cent loaf of bread for $5. What deal! I do like their spinach and olives, although the tomatoes more often than not are still white in the middle. I just throw every vegetable I can on a Subway sandwich and hope it fills me up.

i cant get over how it smells inside subway, just completely unappetizing, like a yeast infection mixed with hand sanitizer

theres a place here called pizza market that has a crazy steak tip sub, their subs are like 18" and only around $8.50, they do it up right, big chunks

theres also a joint near my house that does a filet mignon steak and cheese, its like $18 but super duper yum
