D'antoni spent some time trying to get him to play with the flow of the team and when he knew it was useless, he walked into the office and asked them to move Melo for Deron Williams...He lost his job the next day.

I have never done this, but Link? I have never seen or heard that story

Some people here make great points. I think for people like me who said Melo would make us better, it needs to be qualified. IF Melo was willing to be one of the guys and not the guy, then he has a crap load more offensive talent than Nic.

Here you go. Even if Melo was willing to give into the team concept and play within a system, I would still struggle moving Nic because I think Nic is ready to make another jump. Maybe in the same sense LA did last year. This doesn't mean a mvp caliber player. But It wouldn't surprise me if makes the all star team.

If you think Nico's defense is bad . . . well he has a "crap load" more defensive talent than Carmelo.

So you're saying if you put him on a team with James, Durant, and Bryant, that he is a very good 4th option for a winning team. I can't argue against that point.

Even with Aldridge and Lillard. Just say the words carmelo Anthony third option and you probably start puckering up.

He's worthless as a 3rd option on offense on NBA team because he doesn't play defense.

Somebody will overpay him to be a franchise player. Maybe the Lakers for when Bryant retires.

Why would Melo be the 3rd option on offense? He is much more efficient than Aldridge, isn't he?
