Nope, Lillard still is Olsheys plan, he's just building on it. I don't think they would trade Lillard either. I think Lillard is actually untouchable, Aldridge is not imo. I would trade la if he doesn't have a long term vision here. I think that's what was going on with e contract negotiations. Pitching their plan to LAs camp to find out if he's on board or not. Could end up taking off enough cap room to sign a max, and bring in the most nba ready player. Parker can do a lot on the floor like Batum, but with a higher ceiling, and more time to hit it.
Those are also Chicago's colors. Yea the Rose makes it more for portland but could also be a sign of respect for Derrick Rose, CHICAGO IS TRADING FOR JABARI!!!
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA New Orleans is shopping forward Ryan Anderson and guard Austin Rivers, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
Jabari would be cool if we didn't have to give up LMA or Lillard but i'd rather keep the sure thing in LMA who if Jabari has the Career LMA has had so far he will be considered a great #1 pick.
Chicago isn't trade anything that would decrease melo chances. And they couldn't get Parker without doing that. There is actually a logical reason for portland.
16/19/Butler/Mirotic/Snell for #1 then amnesty boozer and they have capspace to sign Melo outright. There isn't anymore of a logical reason for Portland then for Chicago.
Okay I'm just going to run with this idea for a second... What Free Agents in your mind would be willing to sign with Portland for max money when there are so many teams with max money to offer? Portland isn't a huge great destination for Free Agent Superstars. Why would one want to come here now? Point is... Trading Aldridge isn't a guarantee a FA will come to Portland to play with Lillard/Wiggins or Parker. I'd even go as far to say that without Aldridge, no big name free agents will come to Portland because there are soooo many teams with money and flexibility in the next two years.
