You seriously want to trade CJ for Andre Miller? CJ must be your new whipping boy since Aldridge is getting an extension. LOL Trade CJ for a 38 year old back up point guard? Crazy.
Batum, mccollum, Leonard and wrights expiring in a sign and trade for a superstar wing that's a free agent. We go from a possible 5th seed to title contender.
Not a whipping boy, I just don't see how he fits with this team. He seems like Dame-lite. He has skills, but not the skills we need. We need someone who can run an offense when Dame/Nic are on the bench. Whether or not it's 'Dre, I don't really care - I just want a capable floor general. CJ isn't going to be that guy. And LMA will ALWAYS be my whipping boy, regardless of contract status.
Yeah I see what you are saying, CJ is a tweener. It's hard to see him playing with Damian. I'd trade him too, but not for a guy nearly my age
I repped you on the need for a back up PG that can be a floor general. But I would rather not get rid of CJ as he is the 2nd best player on the team in terms of shooting off the dribble. (If Mo does not come back) We need someone other than Damian who can flying down the court and be able to stop on a dime and hit that soft pull up jumper. Nic and Wes are OK at it but theirs is more of a set shot. (Or a one dribble and shoot) This is a kind of deja vu (No not the strip joint) moment for me as I said the same thing a few years ago about Patty Mills. At that time only Brandon had that ability on our team. I love guys like that. Crawford was great at it, but they miss used him. We need more than just Damian to do it especially at the end of games. I am hoping that CJ will play with Damian when they go offense/defense down the stretch. CJ is all SG not PG. He has a skill set we need, just not the PG skills we need.
S&T for Avery Bradley, maybe? After drafting Smart and Young, am guessing they don't have big plans for keeping Bradley around. I saw someone somewhere throw out 7-9 a year for him, and I just can't see that being the case. Not many places he's going to start, I dunno, just don't see it. But at a lower price, depending on which direction Boston goes, could be an interesting target that we've discussed before. But in S&T, we'd still retain our MLE.
My initial thought was something with CJ. Then I realized he's just as redundant there as Bradley is. D'oh
I like the idea of a backup PG like isiah Thomas, shaun Livingston or resigning Mo and going for a vet SF like Marion or Pierce
OK, since PapaG seems to be gone for awhile; i think I will bring up the idea of Larry Sanders again. A writer in Milwaukee thinks they might pair up John Henson or Brandon Knight with him just to get rid of him. here is one idea; Dorell Wright, McCollum, Leonard and Claver for Sanders and Knight. I don't really think they would trade Henson. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=p35ctjl Sure it is a gamble and they would need to do some investigating and decision-making on whether a different coach would do better with Sanders. Maybe they are so anxious to get rid of him that they would take without McCollum? Here's a link to that Milwaukee story http://journaltimes.com/sports/buck...cle_06b15216-f9ce-11e3-9cda-001a4bcf887a.html
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=oagy5rv OK, now I am really going wild. Let's get Ilyasova also. this guy was hitting mid forties on his threes for a couple years and he seems to be a decent rebounder. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=po4p7ja This requires two trades to get it to work financially so you have to look at them as one trade; We would be gaining a stretch four, a possible madman shotblocker and an offensive point guard who should be a big improvement defensively. Only giving up one guy (McCollum) who would ever have the chance of being more than a role player in the NBA.
I do not believe that Milwaukee has the same interest in trading Sanders as the authors in the magazine do. If he acts up again at all that could certainly change quickly. Sanders when focused is an elite defender and worth every bit of his 11 million a year contract, when he appears on TMZ and gets into bar fights though, no one outside of maybe Greg Popovich would consider taking him.
I'd like that and if he is really available would do it. It sounds like they wanted a high lottery pick for him if he was even available; not sure what we have unless they REALLY, REALLY want to get rid of Sanders. For some reason i am having more trouble making a trade with Henson and Sanders work on the trade machine.
I don't know. I would guess they view him as somebody who might just flame out or someone who might adversely affect team morale; and Portland would have to worry about that also.
3 reports of altercations with teammates including gary neal, monta ellis and cold clocking mike Dunleavy. certainly paints a cancerious attitude in my mind
Interesting idea. The package of Blazer players you put together doesn't look real attractive. But if a team is looking to get rid of player, the Blazer package does have 3 expiring contracts and some young potential. Blazers will have a lot of money to play with next summer and this would bite into it. But if Sanders can be the player he shown in the past, maybe the Blazers don't wait till next summer. Come trade deadline, especially if McCollum shows something . . . that Blazer package could have a lot of value.
Clearly taken way too high by Cho but I think the time is right to snatch Biyombo from the Hornets. Zeller/Jefferson/Vonleh -- there won't be a lot of minutes to go around with the development of Zeller and Vonleh. Cho views Zeller as their future center. Tis season Biz improved: PER, TS%, eFG%, FTr, ORB%, DRB%, TRB%, BLK%, ORtg, DRtg, OWS, DWS, WS and WS/48 this season. He is definitely on the upswing.
Except the blazers won't have a lot of money to play with next year, unless they gut the team like a fish. That cap space was made in case the team needed to be blown up. It doesn't.
