Fredette is made for Euroleague, but I hope he stays here. He's fun.

I'm surprised we didn't at least try to play him more since we were so starving for shooting.

Agreed. Jimmers game looks like it translates much better to the euroleague than the NBA. I can see him doing his thing against the Sergio Rodriguez's of the world.

The issue is that Jimmer would've replaced the only other guy on our team that was also good at shooting....DJ Augustin.

DJ had already been with the team, and was better at creating his own shot and running the team to boot.

When you score 69 points in a game, doesn't it seem like a good idea to play them both? At the same time.

There is no rule that I am aware of that prohibits then from being on the court at the same time.

I'd like to see Jimmer get a real shot. I think the kid can play. If he goes Euro I understand it but I would welcome him here next year if possible.

Agreed. We haven't really surrounded Rose with shooters since we drafted him. Rose is at his best driving, creating, and drawing a defense to collapse type of point guard. Having Fredette, McDermott, Dunleavy (if we keep him), Augustine (if resigned), Mirotic (if he comes over) means we could have multiple shooters on the court at the same time.

Though Fredette and Augustine may be gone, your main thought is spot on. Rose needs to be surrounded by shooters...and at least one other legit scorer. Dunleavy, Mirotic and McDermott have the bonafides. Butler needs to either improve his shooting or accept that he's Ronnie Brewer. Obviously a significant free agent or S&T situation needs to be part of the picture.

I would like to see that. We would be hard to guard.
