We obviously know that the Zero Tolerance policy has had a huge effect on players on the court. But, these new clothing rules like not bring able to wear team warm-ups when checking in at the scores table, not being allowed to wear wristbands on the arm, no tights....... I mean, they're just silly.Especially when Jermaine O'Neal gets fined $5,000 for having a wristband ONE INCH higher than regulationWhich rule would you keep or get rid of?
I would keep the no tolerance rule just so we can get rid of the clothing infractions rule. That is just dumb...
I would take away the no tolerance rule... it's ridiculous. But the clothing thing is stupid too, why don't they just warn players when their bands are an inch too high? Or are they just letting them keep it so they get the money? Why can't the NBA be nice?!

I know the rule might be stupid, but it isn't as if the players aren't aware of the rules. There is a dress code in almost every other industry/job in the world, including other professional sports leagues... and the NBA shouldn't be any different when it comes to the players/employees following those rules.Anyway, I'd get rid of the zero tolerance "policy" simply because I feel that the referees are taking too much of the emotion out of the game. The theory behind the zero tolerance "policy" is fine with me, however the referees just haven't found the happy medium between letting the players express their emotion and making sure the players don't show them up.
im sorry but if your making millions a year you can deal with the rules. the zero tolerance is a good rule, but the wristband things... ehh... I say let that stuff slide.

David Stern Implemented his dress code for injured players, and that is fine in mine opinion. but a code for players while they're playing the game? That is ridiculous. As long as the jersey is tucked in, why does it matter how many accessories the player is wearing? playing the game is all about being comfortable. If Jermaine O'Neal feels most comfortable playing ball with an arm band, then why not? Who is being hurt by allowing them to wear accessories?What?........ Are they going to make arm sleeves illegal?</span>

It might seem stupid, but they have their reasons, whatever they may be. And I think people are forgetting that the players wear UNIFORMS, and we all know the definition of that word.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>If Jermaine O'Neal feels most comfortable playing ball with an arm band, then why not?</div> That sounds pretty ridiculous to me if a player feels more comfortable with playing a cotton fabric on his bicep, then not. I'd take away the clothing infractions, because it seems the refs are letting more stuff go regarding the zero tolerance policy. The first week was strict, now it's more lenient. As long as it keeps whining down, I'm all for it. As for, clothing infractions, a bit ridiculous. But since when did NBA become a fashion statement regarding arm bands on the biceps? I think the blowup over this rule is more idiotic. Yes it makes no sense, but who cares if you don't wear it. I mean NBA players in the past and even some today don't wear any. A select few can't wear ones above their arms, and it's Nazi Basketball Association. As far as I'm concerned, their the only ones you can't wear. Headbands, wristbands, armbands, elbow bands, leg bands are still being worn. A tad over the top if I may say so myself.
